What an Honor!

I can not express how honored I am to have one of my images be on the cover of one of my favorite magazines! It was always a dream of mine to have a cover on this magazine and I can remember dreaming about this in the early part of my career. I have read every page for years and looked up to the photographers in the magazine each month. It is a magazine that is distributed internationally but it is only offered to professional photographers. I have learned so much from this magazine and this month they did a feature on how I changed from only a black & white photographer to how I started to incorporate color, texture and layers into our brand and offerings to our clients.

I also have to say how proud I am that the AMAZINGLY beautiful little girl is my only niece. She came to stay with us last summer and I ‘stole’ her one day to try out some ideas. We had a blast together and she is shocked to see herself on a magazine.:)

On the image itself, I used a hand painted texture to give it more of a painting feeling and I just love it! I hope you enjoy this image as much as I do…

Waiting…

We had the most AMAZING double session with one of our favorite Dallas Maverick’s players and most gorgeous wife. They have such an obvious love for one another and came ready to play! We had lots of fun ideas that we did together and had the most awesome afternoon… Thank God for Ladders! We are talking about one tall dude! Ha! …Soon we will share their equally amazing newborn shoot of their princess! Enjoy!

A fabulous new store is in town!

We are so honored to have been asked to be part of a brand-new baby store in town called Layette. We were able to work with them creating beautiful artwork for their most beautiful store! If you haven’t already had the opportunity to check it out, you must go and see it. They have such a beautiful and fun classic line of clothes perfect for all occasions. Join us tonight at their grand opening party from 4 to 7 PM. They are in the shops at Highland Park in the old Talbots location…come check it out.

Did you miss us this morning on Fox4?

No worries.. you can still see our segment below and learn some of our favorite tricks to look your best in portraits. We have a blast every time FOX4 is generous enough to have us on their Good Day show, thanks FOX4!!! This time it was even more fun for me because Shayla, our resident giggle master, got to be my model. You might also recognize our lovely model in the pictures going from great to fabulous…sweet Jessica! (Let me tell you how much she loved me TRYING to get her to have a double chin!!!).

Do you part your hair for the best looking you? So many people don’t and we cover how to part your hair correctly to give more symmetry to your face. If you are still unsure after watching this segment, just let me know and the next time I see you, I would be more than happy to help you!

Imaging USA!!!

Whoo hoo!  We just got back from our International Photography Conference, Imaging USA, held in the great New Orleans!  It was not only a blast but we also got inspired with new and fresh ideas for all of our clients for 2012.  It is going to be such a fantastic year and we look forward to implementing some of our wonderful new concepts.  We also were able to catch up with some of our favorite photographers and friends from all over the country and got to have a little fun in between all the classes and events.

It also was a special trip because Kim was honored to be able to speak at one of the main platform talks.   She really got in there and spoke from the heart about not being afraid to really follow your dreams and to be all that you can be.  It was an inspiring and fun presentation full of information for professional and aspiring photographers from all over the world.  It was a huge honor and compliment to be asked to give such a presentation and to be able to share some of the heart of what we do.  We hope we inspired a few people out there to fear less and dream more…
